Antharanga is an amateur theatre club based out of Bengaluru, founded by MS Shyamsundar, fondly called as "Uncle Shyam" in Kannada theatre circles along with his friends, while he was working at University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) in the year 1980. 

Since its inception, Antharanga, a 37 year old cultural troupe has more than 50 productions to its credit including Street Plays and Stage Plays. 

Uncle Shyam, in his 70th Year has been a successful Organizer and has been actively organizing "World Theatre Day" programme with the help of of other like minded troupes like Sanchaya. 

Besides this, Uncle also organizes a day long humor festival called "Hasya Mela" in the month of November every year, which he says, was the brainchild of Make-up Nani, whom he considers as his theatre teacher/friend/philosopher and guide. 

Antharanga has been awarding "Make-up Nani Award" since 2004 to one make-up artiste every year in the name of Late. Sri. Make-Up Nani sir, for those who have rendered their services to Kannada theatre in the field of Make-up across Karnataka. 

Antharanga's last year production (2017) LOKA SHAKUNTALA play has been selected for Theatre Olympics being held by National School of Drama under Government of India in 2018 where theatre troupes from 30+ countries and about 500 plays are being staged across India. This play is written by Late Sri. KV Subbanna and directed by Sri. Chidambararao Jambe.
